Meet Your Teachers

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Nguyen

Hello! I'm Mrs. Nguyen, and I'll be the middle grades math teacher this year! This is my first year teaching at NLAE, and I look forward to working with you this year! This will be my 8th year teaching, having taught at various schools in Georgia prior to coming here. Outside of teaching, I like to read, eat lots of yummy food, walk trails, and spend time with my family. I'm excited for this upcoming school year, and let's make this a great school year!

Ms. Reynolds

Hello everyone!
I am Ms. Reynolds, 6th-8th grade ELA Enrichment teacher here at New Life Academy of Excellence. This will be my 6th year teaching, but my 1st year teaching at New Life. I am thoroughly excited for what this new school year may hold! I graduated with my Bachelors in Public Relations and Communications from Eastern Michigan University and recently obtained my Masters degree in Urban Education from Davenport University. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and being entertained by social media.
Cheers to a new school year!

Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Luciano

It's me yall

Hey there! My name is Mr. Luciano and I'm the Social Studies teacher for 6th - 8th grade. I graduated from University of North Georgia with a BA in History and a teacher certification for Secondary History Education. I'm really looking forward to meeting you and teaching you this year! I know social studies tends to get a bad reputation as just remembering names & dates but I'd like to show you it's so much more than that. Hopefully this year I can make your appreciation of history grow. As for my hobbies I like to cook, garden, read, run and play old school arcade games. Let's make this school year great together!

Hello everyone! I am the middle school ELA teacher. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Science with a concentration in Education, a Master's in Education, and a Master's in Psychology. I have worked in the field of education for 15 years. I started working at New Life during the 2014-2015 school year and I am excited to be back for another year of teaching, learning, and exploring. I have been married for 5 1/2 years. I also have 9 children in total and 3 are at home (15 years old, 8 years old, & 4 years old). I enjoy going to the movie theater, relaxing at the spa, and spending time with my husband and children. I look forward to helping our middle school learners explore the world of Language Arts!

Hello everyone! I am extremely excited to be back at New Life for my 16th year! Many of you have had me last year for Chinese and I am thrilled to be back in the middle grades continuing your education in both the Chinese culture and the language. I am a mom to a little girl (born February 2024), and I'm loving all the joys that come with being a new parent. When I'm not in teacher mode, I can be seen cheering on my Atlanta teams (Falcons, Braves, Atlanta United, Hawks, and Georgia Tech) and Team USA in the Olympics. I also enjoy traditional Chinese dancing. :) I'm excited and looking forward to another great year!
